'People are intimidated' - the reasons 'unstoppable force' Arsenal have become the team to beat.

The evidence is undeniable why Arsenal are now many people's favorites to claim the Premier League in the current campaign.

Look at their performances against Fulham and Crystal Palace in contrast with those same matches last season.

The Gunners have overcome all of them this time around, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they fell away in the title race last season.

Impenetrable Defense

Arsenal's defensive strength is a primary factor why they are seeming ready to finally fulfil their title target.

They lead the league for clean sheets (6), shots let in (3), shots faced (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and xGA (5.3).

The center-back duo of Gabriel and William Saliba is possibly the strongest in the league, with Arsenal maintaining a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Set-Piece Expertise

Their effectiveness from free kicks is well known, but rival sides still find it difficult to stop the Gunners from these chances.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, a couple extra than any other side, with 69% of their goals coming from these situations.

"Arsenal can perform multiple roles now. The whole team has a intimidation presence. People are just wary of them and it is wonderful to see."

Championship Claims

What is even more impressive about Arsenal's beginning to the campaign is they have also encountered Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United away from home and Manchester City in their own stadium - and are still ahead by four points at the top.

While they maintain victories, their historic competitors aren't faring so well. This marks the initial occasion at this point of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The pressure was on head coach Mikel Arteta at the start, having spent around £250m on eight summer signings in pursuit of that long-awaited first title since 2004.

But the investment has so far paid off in style, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and possessing the most resilient defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Shutouts in each of their last three Premier League games
  • 385 minutes without letting in a goal
  • Only a handful of concessions in 12 games across various contests

Former players and analysts have labeled Arteta's men as a "juggernaut, looking difficult to stop" with the whole club now operating with conviction and resolve.
